SEASON'S GREETINGS FROM eu-LISA
In 10 years, the European Union Agency for the Operational Management of
Large-Scale IT Systems has grown from a small technical entity into the Digital Heart of Schengen.
This digital heart is vital in holding up the Schengen Area, which connects Europe while also
protecting it.
The Schengen Area is one of the greatest achievements of the
EU.
The right to move freely within Schengen is a fundamental right, that eu-LISA helps to ensure by
guaranteeing that the EU Large-Scale IT Systems work uninterruptedly.
eu-LISA contributes, in this way, to supporting the safe and secure free movement of over 420
million people living and moving throughout the Schengen Area.
At the time of year when justice, freedom and joy should be more present than ever, we look forward to the New Year with hope. New large-scale IT systems will soon be rolled out to ensure and enhance the security of citizens.
